Vehicle Eligibility: FOR LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY New Vehicles: Vehicles previously untitled, still under manufacturer’s complete warranty, Current plus one previous model year with fewer than 12,000 odometer miles. January 1 will be considered the change date for determining the model year eligibility. Pre-Owned Vehicles: C+5 includes the current model year plus 5 more after this year for a total of 6 model years. Model year age 6-10 is the same as the 7th Model Year through the 11th Model Year. January 1 will be considered the change date for determining model year eligibility. General Exclusions: The following vehicles are ineligible: Commercial or business use vehicles, step vans, high cube vans or box bodies, cab and chassis, and vehicles over a one ton rating; vehicles used for the following purpose: snow plowing; vehicles that have a branded or salvaged title, have been designated a total loss, are rebuilt or have alterations not authorized/specified by the manufacturer; vehicles equipped with V10 or V12 engines or CNG; vehicles not certified for sale in the United States or Canada, gray market vehicles, and vehicles equipped with right-hand steering; any vehicle with a non-functioning odometer or an odometer that has been manipulated. Asian and Domestic-VW vehicles are eligible subject to the ineligible vehicle list below, and a MSRP limitation of $125,000. Ineligible Vehicles: The following vehicle makes/models are ineligible: All European except VW; CNG models; Acura NSX; Cadillac V-Series; Chevrolet City Express and Express, Corvette-(All) and Camaro ZL1 model; Coda; vehicles imported, manufactured, or assembled by China and India domiciled companies for distribution in the United States; Chrysler Hurst Edition and Prowler; Daewoo; Daihatsu; Dodge Challenger ADR, Dodge Challenger Demon, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Dodge Hurst editions; Dodge Ram SRT-10; Dodge Ram Van; Dodge Sprinter; Dodge Viper; Fisker; Ford E-Series & Transit Connect / Transit Van; Ford F-150 special editions (i.e., Foose, Saleen, Rousch and Shelby); Ford F-450; Ford F-550, Ford GT, Ford Mustang special editions (i.e., Foose, GT-H, GT-KR, Saleen, Rousch, Shelby GT350 / GT500, Boss Models, SVT Models); GMC Savanna; Hummer; Isuzu; Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat, kit cars; Lexus LF-A; Nissan GT-R and NV Series; Polestar 1; Ram 1500 TRX, Ram Promaster City, Ram Promaster, Ram C/V Tradesman; Suzuki; Tesla; VW Phaeton; exotic brands including, but not limited to, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, Maybach, McLaren, Panoz, Rolls Royce and Spyker. See Procedure Manual for additional eligibility details. Vehicle Fitness and Maintenance Dealer Responsibilities: Dealer must service the engine and certify that it is in good working condition without fluid leaks, smoking or knocks. Dealer must change oil and filter on pre-owned vehicles. Any pre-existing conditions must be repaired prior to issuance of this warranty. Dealer Representative must sign Warranty Contract. Vehicle Owner Responsibilities: Vehicle owner must service the covered vehicle according to the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule, replace leaking engine or coolant seals and gaskets that relate to the protection of the engine from lubricant loss and overheating, and retain all vehicle maintenance records. Vehicle’s oil and oil filter MUST be changed every three (3) months or 3,000 miles, whichever occurs first, or as recommended by the manufacturer. LPW Program Administration General: LPW is a vehicle merchandising program. LPW must be provided on all eligible vehicles sold; it may not be sold. LPW benefits are available to the vehicle’s original registered owner as long as s/he owns the vehicle. LPW is non-cancellable and non-transferrable. Buyers Guide: All eligible vehicles must have an FTC Buyers Guide posted for the consumer’s review prior to sale of the vehicle. Buyers Guide must be completed in its entirety ensuring all vehicle specific and dealer specific information is listed correctly. Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) Up-sell Requirements: Dealer must consistently meet Protective’s minimum VSC up-sell requirements to remain eligible for LPW / VSC combination rates; otherwise, stand-alone rates will apply to LPW contracts. Dealer should submit LPW and VSC up-sell contracts together (along with appropriate funds) to ensure any applicable discounts are properly credited to the dealer’s account.
